    Review the Canoe

The Sevylor Colorado inflatable canoe comes with two bucket seats, removable stern storage compartment, carry handles, multiple D-rings and cargo ties, motor mount fittings, carry bag, and repair kit.

    Specifications

    • Dimensions: 10’6″ x 3’3″
    • Capacity: 2 adults (440 lbs)
    • Weight: 32 lbs
    • PVC bladders/840-denier nylon
    • 2 directional vinyl strakes
    • Max HP: 25v SBM
    • Colors: Blue or Green
    • NMMA Certified
    • Inflation time: 10 minutes

    Construction and Performance

The Sevylor Colorado inflatable canoe has three heavy-duty PVC bladder chambers – two in the sides and one in the double I-beam floor — plus the seats sit on top of mini air chamber risers for better comfort and paddling control. The inflated air floor also makes paddling while kneeling a pleasure.

The two directional strakes on the bottom of the hull help with tracking in a straight line, and the raised bow and stern give these canoes better performance when navigating faster water.

It handles well with two people using canoe paddles, but a solo trekker needs a double-bladed kayak paddle. To keep from drifting away from a promising fishing spot, it is also recommend you either buy or rig up a small anchor.

    Five Star Comfort

It can’t be emphasized enough how comfortable this inflatable canoe is. The Sevylor Colorado comes with padded seats with high rigid back support, allowing for hours of fishing or river exploring without back strain. These seats are far better than what you get with the Stearns Backcountry Canoe, which is a better-looking canoe and tracks about the same, but the seats are absolutely terrible. Very few kayak/canoe models have anything that remotely compares to these wonderful bucket seats on the Sevy canoes.

The Sevylor Colorado is an extremely safe inflatable canoe for beginners. It is sturdy enough to stand up in, and it won’t tip like a hard canoe. It is good for novices, experienced canoeists, families, and even a solo paddler with a mutt companion. You don’t have to worry about the floor since the 840-denier material is resistant to tears and abrasions, even dropped hooks and your mutt’s toenails. The canoe has a capacity of up to 440 pounds, enough to haul two people who pack light with overnight gear, or to take a solo adventurer and a week’s work of supplies into the wild.
